Fortsetzung Stellungnahme der Kommission Kinder- und Jugendsport der DGSP zur Förderung eines aktiven Schulweges

Kernaussagen aus der u. a. Literatur:

1. Durch aktive Bewältigung des Schulweges erreichen Kinder und Jugendliche das von der WHO definierte Ziel 60 Minuten körperlicher Aktivität pro Tag eher.

2. Durch das Radfahren zur Schule lässt sich die körperliche Leistungsfähigkeit steigern.

3. Schüler beschreiben ein verbessertes soziales Miteinander durch das gemeinsame Gehen zur Schule.

4. Studien zeigten einen positiven Zusammenhang zwischen dem aktiven Schulweg und der kognitiven Leistungsfähigkeit.

5. In den USA kam es bei einer Zunahme der aktiven Kinder auf dem Schulweg zu einer signifikanten Abnahme von Verkehrsunfällen und verunfallten Kindern in der Nähe von Schulen.

6. Die Einstellung der Eltern und die Entfernung zur Schule haben den größten Einfluss auf die Wahl der Transportart.

7. Ein aktiver Schulweg bewirkt keine signifikante Veränderung der Körperkomposition.
